Harassment, and Violence against supporters of Kwantlen reform

The harassment of the supporters of Kwantlen governance reform continue. It’s obvious who is committing this violence. Recent incidents include:

• an adult breaking into a car to try and attack a toddler (police investigation underway)

• the former chief’s brother blocking an elder in with his truck and threatening him with a stick (police investigation underway)

• trashing a late elder’s boat and trying to sink it / destroy the engine

• harassing phone calls from the Band Office

The latter reveals the juvenile nature of these people and their disconnection from our culture.

Part of their messaging on the harassing calls is packed with homophobia - a Christian import into our culture. As if the violence and the vandalism aren’t enough, they have to reveal their church-inspired hatred of so many of our neighbours.
